The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2019

PROFILE

Current residence: Richmond, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

Being a Librarian fulfills my desire to make a living while preserving my integrity.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My parents, co-workers, fellow students, and LIS professionals who encouraged me to go through with the degree even when I wanted to stop.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Across the country, and some quite nearby me.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The ability to set my own times to study.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

When I needed to reach out to faculty and staff, they were very quick at getting back to me, and those I communicated with usually went above and beyond the call of duty in trying to help.

I plan to use my degree to:

Help bridge the divide between technology and humanity.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Having the time to create in a way I didn't have time to, while busy with school and work.
