Higher education has always been a dream of mine, and I knew I wanted more than what my BA in English could offer. Library and information science is the perfect field for me!
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My best friends and family - I couldn't do it without you all. Thank you for putting up with my stress levels, believing in me, and keeping me sane throughout this process.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
A really diverse assortment of locations! While it seems most were based in California, I've met others in this program from all over the country, including some in my own state.
What I liked best about online learning was:
The opportunity to work at my own pace from anywhere -- and the chance to earn a degree from such a respected institution without needing to relocate somewhere that just wasn't feasible for me.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
Getting to take classes in practical skills in which I could demonstrate measurable improvement -- and that aligned with interests I had already pursued!
I plan to use my degree to:
Seek out employment in the information sciences, with a heavy preference for tech or web-based positions relating to institutions such as academic libraries, writing centers, or prison libraries.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Taking some time to relax! I want to spend a bit of my newly liberated free time enjoying my friends and family and pursuing other hobbies.
Kristi: Congrats!!
TJ : Congratulations! We're all proud of you!
Max: Congratulations, buddy!
