The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2020

PROFILE

Current residence: Hampton, VA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to further my education and go into a field in the library and information profession that required I do so.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mom, dad, family, friends, and colleagues and students at Armstrong School for the Arts.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the country! I live on the east coast, so it was amazing to get to talk to students in different time zones.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Meeting people from different places and learning about the library and information profession through others' experiences.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The knowledge I gained from my classes were used in my everyday teaching of K-5 students.

I plan to use my degree to:

Acquire a position in a special library that focuses on music, film, or media. I would also enjoy working in an academic library as well.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Using the knowledge gained through the course of earning this degree to find a position I am passionate about.
