The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2020

PROFILE

Current residence: San Jose, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

After over a decade working in libraries, I realized I wanted to learn new skills and be able to work as a professional Librarian

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family, my friends, and my colleagues at the library where I work

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over!

What I liked best about online learning was:

I liked the flexibility.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Knowing that I was working so hard for a purpose. I set a goal and met it. I also listened to a lot of Jazz during my many hours of research and work and was introduced to a lot of great music :)

I plan to use my degree to:

Obtain a position as a professional Librarian in adult services, electronic resources, technical services, or virtual librarianship. I'm looking forward to seeing where I end up.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Continuing to champion access to information and intellectual freedom.
