I knew that this would be an opportunity for me to continue making an impact in my community and in my career. I wanted to work hard for something that I truly believed in and to challenge myself.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My friends Matt, John, Anneka, Angela, and Javier as well as my professors at iSchool.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
California, Illinois, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, and Texas, to name a few.
What I liked best about online learning was:
I was able to work a full time job while getting my classes done. I made a plan for studying and projects and stuck to that in order to successfully complete all assignments and extra activities.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
I loved the challenge and the opportunity to learn about library-related topics while working in a library. I was able to use both experiences at once to really maximize the learning process for myself. I also really appreciated the help of Dr. Main and the advising when questions came up.
I plan to use my degree to:
Continue opening doors for myself and expanding my horizons and my own professional growth.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
I just want to continue in the library field. I am at home in the library and know that I belong there. Getting through this program has put a lot of wind in my sail because I am absolutely sure that I did what was right for myself, my career, and my community.
