The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2020

PROFILE

Current residence: Rohnert Park, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

As a volunteer at my local library I found myself most passionate about where things belonged. Organization, classification, and categorization have been my focus. I wanted to become a cataloger or metadata librarian.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, Dr. Mary Bolin, and Dr. Virginia Tucker.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Being able to study from home!

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Exploring recent research on metadata models and schema for videogames.

I plan to use my degree to:

Study new metadata schema and continue to catalog the world's information.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Working with the material and a catalog or information retrieval system.
