Virtual Convocation

PROFILE

Current residence: Sequim, WA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to be able to work and grow in a field where I could use data skills to help connect people to ideas and information.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family has always supported my education. A special thank you to my dad, grandma, Uncle Scott, and husband for their patience, wisdom, and encouragement. My coworkers, managers, and library director and board have also given tremendous encouragement and support during this journey. Thank you to everyone!

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the country and beyond.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Learning in an asynchronous environment made it possible to fit study schedules around work and family life.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Using the e-Portfolio to reflect on how far I've come and how much I've grown professionally throughout the program.

I plan to use my degree to:

Work in collection development for public libraries.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Being able to apply what I've learned in school, growing professionally, and having more time for family and hobbies.
