Current residence: Aurora, IL, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

An MLIS is often a job requirement in the field, and because I had always intended to earn at least one, if only for the academic experience.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family, especially my mom, but also my great co-workers!

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Across the country and around the world--those fine people are or will be awesome information professionals!

What I liked best about online learning was:

Being able to complete assignments when and where needed, while also working full-time.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Learning more about the ins and outs of librarianship. Arguably my favorite course was Graphic Novels, partly due to the exciting reading list and partly due to the great discussions and ideas.

I plan to use my degree to:

Continue providing library service and assistance to the academic community.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Having more free time to volunteer and spend on hobbies.
