The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2020

PROFILE

Current residence: San Francisco, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

The library and information has played a central role in my life. I want to help connect people with information and build up community.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and three daughters. and my mom for doing school pick ups.<br /> Thank you and I love you Team Lemonade!

While in the program, I met classmates from:

California, Arizona, South Dakota, Michigan, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Washington, Maryland, Virginia, Texas; Canada and China

What I liked best about online learning was:

I didn't have to commute to class, which allowed me the freedom to commit to the program.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Learning from my peers professional experiences, and the creative ways faculty delivered course content.

I plan to use my degree to:

Work to provide access to information. Educate students about information literacy. I'd love to work in a public or private library. I am open, especially in our corona virus pandemic world.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

No homework!
