PROFILE

Current residence: Compton, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

As a first-generation graduate student, I wanted to set an example to follow for my children.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband Danny and our four boys: Daniel, Rafael, Emanuel, and Miguel.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the United States and even a few living in Mexico and Europe.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility of taking school with me wherever I was whether it was at home, a public library, or on vacation in Vegas and Cabo.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The sharing of ideas and resources from my classmates and professors. I felt I learned valuable insider tips and tricks along with foundational and theoretical information.

I plan to use my degree to:

Serve an ethnically diverse library community as a children's librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Having time to read from my huge book list and come up with more programming ideas.
