Continuing education is extremely important to me. I don't believe that we ever stop learning throughout our lives but my curiosity and passion for information have led me to pursue the attainment of knowledge in a more formal manner.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My children, family, friends, boss, co-workers, and clients. I could not have completed such a momentous accomplishment without their patience, understanding, and encouraging words.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
All over the U.S. and Canada.
What I liked best about online learning was:
Flexibility and the benefits of having time for work, family, and fun. Thanks to online learning, I was able to arrange my schedule to allow for most of the activities and duties I wanted and needed to do.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
I really enjoyed the exchanges and interactions that the students were able to have online. Whether these were through mandatory discussions, online group meetings, emails, or Google Doc messages, I always felt connected and a part of the class regardless of what time zone everyone was in. Plus, I met a lot of great people who shared similar struggles and achievements.
I plan to use my degree to:
Work in the archival field. I'm especially interested in digital assets and digital information.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Not being attached to my laptop so much for awhile.
