I wanted to earn a masters degree because:
I felt that my career had hit a wall; I needed to expand my options. Getting a masters degree opens up more professional choices for me.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My sister was a constant support for me. My friends and family encouraged my enthusiasm for what I was learning while earning this degree. Knowing I was doing my very best made believe my mother would have been proud of me.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
I met other students in the Bay Area who were working in libraries, bookstores and completely changing careers.
What I liked best about online learning was:
Online learning allowed me to attend San Jose State. I live in the Bay Area but it would not have been possible for me to travel to San Jose to attend classes. Being able to attend lectures, join discussions and submit classwork online made it possible for me to get this degree.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Many of my classes required me to do informational interviews, shadow librarians and reach out to information professionals in different settings. This was by far the most rewarding aspect of my coursework. Librarians are full of helpful ideas!
I plan to use my degree to:
I plan on using my degree to work in an archive.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
I am excited to use my new skills at work. I have been doing internships, so some of them have already been put to the test. Now, I look forward to using my skills in a professional information setting.
