GUEST BOOK

Yolanda Fregozo: Congratulations

Paul Frankenfeffer: Will, you are the man! Congratulations on your achievement!

Robert Hughes: Congratulations Will!!!! you’re the man, I knew you could do it!!!!

RCM: 19 May 2020 Will, Today is important to you… The key is why… You have done what a relative few have done… Not that others could not, but for whatever reason they did not… You did… It is an indication of ability and of focus and persistence, despite whatever challenges arose… It is also an indication of a support system that directly, or indirectly, helped to make it possible, but… You made good use of that support… Very nice… The recognition of your efforts is on display today… Now what? Graduation ceremonies for me, that come to mind, are down to three… Two involved the school system and one the military… At nearly 73 years of age, I don’t remember much about any of them… Today is important for today… The key is what’s to come… May your future be filled with joy and difficulties, for the later will enhance the former… May those who never know you reap benefits from whatever it is that is accomplished and received by the kind of efforts noted by the words that flow to you today… and, when the time arrives to make the transition to whatever comes next, may the future be better because of the benefits you brought to strangers… Love to you, and those important to you… Tio Roberto

Alyce Scott: Congratulations Will, and best wishes for the future!

Virginia Tucker: Very best wishes to you, Will, congratulations!

Debbie Faires: Will--here's a big CONGRATULATIONS! I'm glad I had a chance to work with you in your final semester when you were a peer mentor.

The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2020

PROFILE

Current residence: North Hollywood, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I was very interested in archiving and digital preservation work at libraries and museums.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My amazing girlfriend, who stuck by me and helped calm me down during all my late-night, anxiety-riddled moments when I thought I could not do it. Also, my study buddy, a tortie kitten named Navi!

While in the program, I met classmates from:

I met students from all over the country, and even one currently in New Zealand! There were a few in my local area and I even met a few in person.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The asynchronous environment and incorporation of various technologies.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Discovering how much I enjoy teaching and showing others how to use technologies. I also really enjoyed the wealth of experience that the instructors brought, and their willingness to share their knowledge and experience.

I plan to use my degree to:

Work as an archivist, digital preservationist or web developer.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Putting all my knowledge to use and pursuing my career.
