I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I have wanted to be a librarian since high school. After working first in circulation and then eight years in cataloging, I decided to go back to school and get my bachelor's and then master's degrees in Library and Information Science. I love my work in the public library setting and, with my MLIS, I am planning on a life-long career in cataloging/metadata and technical services.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, Gene, and my children were my greatest supporters during this time of schooling. Without them, attaining my degree would have been much harder to accomplish.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Through the SJSU online learning program, I meet classmates from all over the world.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Online learning was wonderful for the convenience of doing school while working a full-time job.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

One of the things I enjoyed most at SJSU was the variety of classes offered for the library graduate program. This is one of the main reasons I chose SJSU for my graduate school.

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan to use my MLIS degree to continue working in cataloging and technical services in a public library setting.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

A little more reading for purely entertainment purposes.
