The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2022

PROFILE

Current residence: Bloomfield, NM, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved to visit the library. My earliest memories were in a library with my mother and sisters. I wanted to be able to spend my working days in an environment that I truly loved being in.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family. Especially my fiance Joseph. Without his enduring support I would have never been able to finish. He helped me throughout a global pandemic to complete this goal and I am forever grateful.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All throughout the United States and even Canada!

What I liked best about online learning was:

It was convenient to complete my homework wherever I was. I managed to work through a global pandemic, through my kids being online school and through my move two states over from where I grew up.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

All of the knowledge that I gained throughout the program, and getting to make friends in some of my courses.

I plan to use my degree to:

Work as a Public School Librarian

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Not having to worry about timelines and assignments/homework due. Definitely not having to write papers!
