I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

History to me has always been so much more than just names and dates in a textbook that students begrudgingly learn throughout grade school. It is filled with people who experience the world in more complex ways than we can ever truly understand. I want to help people throughout history who might have believed their lives to be insignificant and have their stories be told, even generations later. I want to help them influence people today in ways they could never imagine when their stories occurred.
