I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I am a lifelong learner and I felt ready to pursue a new passion.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and children.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the US and Canada.

What I liked best about online learning was:

Having the freedom to learn from home and to fit my studies into my personal schedule.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I was very honored to be recognized as the 2021 Ramiro Compean & Lupe Compean Diaz Merit Scholar.

I plan to use my degree to:

be a librarian who offers culturally competent reference services, programming, instruction, and builds community partnerships.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Empowering my community through inclusive programming and reference services.
