The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2022

PROFILE

Current residence: Vancouver, Canada

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

The field of librarianship is so diverse and complex you need the degree to learn what specializations work the best for you.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My partner Scott and my family, who always encouraged me.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the world! Many interesting people from just within California but I enjoyed discussing material with classmates that were in Ireland, England, Europe, even Egypt.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The ability to be taught by interesting people who were specialists in the subject matter, and currently working, so they brought in really useful and fascinating real life stories from their work.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The range of class subjects I was able to take and the experience I gained in new technology.

I plan to use my degree to:

Work in a public or school library, doing outreach, working with teens, and creating amazing programming.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Visiting with family and traveling for a bit to take a break!
