PROFILE

Current residence: Oakland, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I have greatly benefited in my own life and career from access to education, enrichment and technology and want to provide others with some of the same opportunities

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, Steven, my son, Nolan, and my sisters, Tara and Treasa

While in the program, I met classmates from:

My own neighborhood of West Oakland, the Bay Area, California, and all over the country

What I liked best about online learning was:

The ability to make schoolwork a part of my daily routine, and access to coursework and assignments during the day, evening, and on weekends, plus while traveling

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Having the opportunity to learn from faculty all over the country and the ability to choose which courses were most aligned to my own interests and areas of opportunity

I plan to use my degree to:

Work in technology instruction or outreach services for a public or academic library in the Bay Area

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Having more free time on weekends to spend with my family and friends!
