I want to be a teen librarian in Los Angeles County so I can be part of the solution for problems plaguing teenagers and help them navigate life if needed.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My sister Erin, my brother in law Matthew, and my parents.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
I think I became acquainted with people from all over the United States and even some in other countries.
What I liked best about online learning was:
The flexibility. I could do school while pursuing other interests and responsibilities. It was handy to have already been enrolled in online learning when the pandemic closed campuses.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
Learning about intellectual freedom and what goes into being a teen librarian. I was hesitant on working with teens and thought I would actually prefer to work with only adults, but after taking Programs and Services for Young Adults... I knew where I belonged.
I plan to use my degree to:
Work with and help the teenagers of my community and Los Angeles County.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Getting the position I have been working so hard for and actually doing something that matters and can make a difference.
