I wanted to change careers professionally and becoming a librarian has always been a calling.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My family: My parents, Mary and Robert, my sisters, Amanda and Patricia, and their families, my aunt Anna and uncle Ron and grandparents Rita, Mike and Alta.
While in the program, I met classmates from:
Around the globe, from different counties, backgrounds and abilities. My classmates, were truly an essential part of the program. Interacting and working with my peers, changed my life for the better.
What I liked best about online learning was:
Online learning worked for me because it was flexible and uninterrupted by closures during the Pandemic.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:
I enjoyed working with different electives in my coursework, the faculty and my classmates. I could have easily added another term for enrichment. It feels like it is over too soon.
I plan to use my degree to:
To become a successful information professional in a public library setting where I can use and develop the skills I have obtained from the MLIS program.
Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:
Working in the field professionally as a Librarian and of course, taking a break from studies to enjoy some down time with family and friends.
