PROFILE

Current residence: Gresham, OR, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I've been passionate and enthusiastic about libraries for a decade, and after volunteering at my local library, I learned how important libraries are in their communities and that this was my calling.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My parents, brother, and grandmothers.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the country and the world.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility for scheduling and the immersion in technology.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Challenging myself to learn new things and opening my eyes to all of the exciting developments and advancements in libraries, archives, and information organizations.

I plan to use my degree to:

Become a cataloging and metadata librarian, and contribute to the LIS field in whatever way I can.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Continuing to learn, grow, and explore.
