Ashley A Marshall

The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2021

PROFILE

Current residence: San Francisco, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I want to work in public librarianship.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

Professor Debbie Faires, Dr. Michael Stephens, Dr. Linda Main, Dr. Kristen Rebmann, Dr. Mary Bolin, Gawain Weaver, and Dr. José Aguiñaga

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the United States but mostly the Bay Area.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I was fully responsible to learn the material and working a full-time job I was grateful I could do the work at my own pace.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I networked with many people and gained valuable real-life experiences that have prepared me for a career I want.

I plan to use my degree to:

Work in a public library with older adults, planning equitable services, collection development, and teaching classes.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Focusing on my passions such as artwork, baking, and not juggling work and school!
