PROFILE

Current residence: North Chesterfield, VA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

Libraries have always been an important part of my life, from my first picture books, through late nights at college. They promote literacy and learning, as well as promote diversity, inclusion, and equity in their services. Libraries encompass my passion for all of these elements, and their services have become increasingly critical in an information-dense society.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My parents, my best friend Porsché, and my supervisor Genevieve.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

My classmates came from all across the United States, but I treasured the opportunity to work in groups with others from the East Coast time zone.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility to pursue my MLIS degree while also working full time.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

The quality of instruction and the incredible faculty.

I plan to use my degree to:

Become a public librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Achieving my professional goals.
