The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation
2021

PROFILE

Current residence: Fillmore, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I want a career as a librarian. I had gone as far as I could in my career without having a degree.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

my classmates (especially Kelly Graham and Kay Wolverton-Ito) and my library co-workers.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

all over the United States as well as Canada.

What I liked best about online learning was:

the flexibility it gives students. I was able to work full-time and still complete my degree.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

learning more about the library and information science world. I was able to put what I learned in the classroom to practice immediately in my current position as a Library Associate III.

I plan to use my degree to:

be a public librarian.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

getting my first librarian position and continue to learn about topics that affect the library world.
