PROFILE

Current residence: Wildomar, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I didn't. I swore after my bachelor's that I was done. This program and career choice intrigued me enough to want to go for it!

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mentor/best friend Angela, my husband Matt and my best friend April. These 3 kept me from losing it, gave me excellent advice, and showed me that I am capable of achieving this degree. I love them so much!

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Around the world. It was fantastic learning about how others were going to use their degrees in their home countries.

What I liked best about online learning was:

My entire educational journey has been online from my bachelor's to both of my master's. I love that I can be comfortable in my own space while learning and having deadlines.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I enjoyed doing work that was important and being able to use what I was learning outside of the classroom before I even graduated. I obtained a volunteer position with a library that I kept post-graduation. This program allowed me to meet others I wouldn't normally have , which I am grateful for.

I plan to use my degree to:

Take over the world! Oh, I'm kidding! I would like to use my degree to help those in the disabled communities within the library realm, possibly in a community college setting. I'm also looking into archival work. It's so fascinating.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Meeting other librarians who share the same passions within this field. Librarians are influential and important to our communities and I can't wait to be a part of something great.
