Current residence: San Francisco, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to learn more about the role of libraries in our society, and use what I learned to create a welcoming, supportive library environment for my students.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband David, who encouraged me and covered for me around the house when I was working on assignments.<br /> My colleagues in SFUSD, who kindly shared their own knowledge and experience with me.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

I worked on teams with classmates from all over the state of California.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I appreciated that I was able to complete work on my own schedule, and that I learned a great deal about navigating online resources and a variety of technology tools.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Every professor I had was passionate and knowledgable about the field of information and library science.

I plan to use my degree to:

The work I did to earn my degree has informed how I approach my work as a Teacher Librarian.
