Current residence: San Francisco, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

It will allow for me to make an impact in my community.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

Rob, Uly, and my MLIS peers (for the many, many, many group projects).

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All around the world!

What I liked best about online learning was:

The opportunity to connect with and learn from people around the world, and the flexibility to balance school, work, and life.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Connecting with peers who were on similar paths in life- such as working full-time and studying at SJSU part-time. We are all juggling to make it happen, and the empathy and support amongst the peers were heartfelt and encouraging.

I plan to use my degree to:

Pursue a career in public libraries as a youth services librarian. I will advocate for equal access, and create a diverse and inclusive environment within our local community.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Celebrating this milestone and this moment in life before taking on the world.
