PROFILE

Current residence: SAN JOSE, CA, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to become a Spanish-speaking librarian that can engage with Latinx communities around the Silicon Valley.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

Stephanie, Craig, and Lily, and my mentors, Paul Sims, Rachel Schmidt and Cheryl Lee.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

all around the world!

What I liked best about online learning was:

the ability to self-pace and attending classes from home or work, rather than having to drive to campus. This was especially helpful since I work full-time.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

learning from so many wonderful librarians and professionals.

I plan to use my degree to:

become a Youth Services Librarian, and someday a Youth Services Program Coordinator.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

beginning my career as a Youth Services librarian, and not spending every lunch break working on homework!
