The degree of

Master of Library and Information Science

Virtual Convocation

PROFILE

Current residence: Shelbyville, KY, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I wanted to become more knowledgeable and enhance my career as a librarian.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My parents, sister, and fiancé.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the United States!

What I liked best about online learning was:

The flexibility- being able to balance my time between a full time job, life, and school.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

Getting to meet and work with other individuals who share similar goals and aspirations. Not only did my fellow students and professors inspire me to grow as an information professional, both made me feel proud and honored to be a part of a group of individuals that are dedicated to helping and working to meet the needs of each community.

I plan to use my degree to:

Serve as a transformative leader in public libraries, who creates a space that inspires lifelong learning and reading, supports creation and expressiveness, welcomes collaboration, and appreciates openness to new possibilities and opportunities.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Having more free time to spend with my family, fiancé, and friends!
