PROFILE

Current residence: Northglenn, CO, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I desired a masters degree for library and information science because I wanted to surround myself with people who valued information and ethics as much as myself. I loved the systematic nature of the profession and hoped I could contribute my abilities to its success.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mom supported me the most by being my constant companion and bouncing board. I was also supported by the rest of my family and my co-workers.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

While most of my classmates were from California, it was pleasure to work with students from across the country from east to west. It was an additional joy to have a course with someone near to home.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I enjoyed online learning because it was flexible and I could address all time consuming elements of my life whenever I desired. I also enjoyed the individuality of the courses and the course assignments.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I liked the expert interviews and podcasts that the School of Information provided. They provided an example of the variety of information professions and skills that are available to explore.

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan on entering archives or government institutions where my knowledge of historical records, management, and preservation can be applied.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

I am most excited to have hours of my day back so I can be more creative. I look forward to sewing projects and finding a few good novels.
