PROFILE

Current residence: Harker Heights, TX, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

The more knowledge that I have, the better I could serve my community.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mother who is a librarian with an MLIS, our local children's librarian who is a MLIS graduate from SJSU, and the school librarian at the elementary school at which I worked through my studies.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

All over the world. The majority of the students resided in the United States, but I worked with people in other continents as well.

What I liked best about online learning was:

The ability to pace myself as I needed and work school around a schedule with my job that may have been more difficult otherwise.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I enjoyed having the opportunity to continue the learning experience and discover again lost passions that I once had.

I plan to use my degree to:

Work at a public library as a librarian working with children and the community and create meaningful experiences that they may not have had the opportunity to have.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

Using the knowledge that I have gained to change lives one community member at a time.
