Current residence: Kyle, SD, US

I wanted to earn a masters degree because:

I chose to get my MLIS degree because it was the next step in my journey of life-long learning and creating opportunities for my community as well as myself.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and children have been an amazing support system with encouragement and advice.

While in the program, I met classmates from:

Most of my classmates have been from the west coast but there have been some from across the United States as well as the world.

What I liked best about online learning was:

I enjoyed online learning because it was flexible and the unique courses offered new perspectives and valuable knowledge that has already aided in my library career.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at the SJSU School of Information was:

I enjoyed taking specialty courses like Indigenous Librarianship, Book Trailering and Talking, and Library Marketing.

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan to use my degree to continue to improve my library, community, and aid in efforts of Lakota / Anishinaabe language revitalization as well as cultural preservation.

Now that I have completed the program, I'm most looking forward to:

I am looking forward to having more time to devote to creating art and publishing a few new novels. I also am excited about more family and relaxation time.
